VE Day party RAF group photo

This was a VE day party in Finden Gardens, Rainham Essex. My dad lived in number 28 with his parents and is in the back row furthest left in the picture in a grey jacket and light shirt."

My Grandad served in the RAF between 1943 and 1945 mainly in Africa. He is pictured 3rd from left in the back row. I have no idea why the chap 2nd from left has turned to look at him! Maybe my grandad had attracted his attention at just the wrong moment with a lewd joke, who knows!"
